A few assesments to look at

 

THE FOLLOWING ASSESMENTS ARE ONES THAT DONT INVOLVE ANY MEDIA OR SLIDESHOWS OF ANY SOUGHT, THIS MEANS THEY MAY BE SLIGHTLY MORE BORING, BUT YOU WOULD KNOW THAT. ENJOY AND EVEN TAKE SOME KNOWLEDGE IN FROM THESE POSTS AS I THINK YOU MIGHT LEARN A THING OR TWO ABOUT SOME STUFF YOU DIDN'T REALIZE EXISTED.

THE MARS ROVER
The rover is an amazing robot and worth learning about, if you read this i assure you, you will be more informed on what is going witht he current status and buliidn of the rover.

The MARS ROVER is a motor vehicle that was created for one sole purpose, to scan the surface of Mars! This robot is underestimated and many don't take notice of its genius design.There are various types of the Mars Rover and all are as genius in diffrent ways. The desiners of the robot have created three main rovers that consist of the Pathfinder, Curiosity and Exploration robots/rovers.

 

Nasa has showed off their new  M2020 drill and cache system prototype and design recently, and there were mixed emotions about the design. The plan is that the rover will collect at least 31 different rock samples on Mars, seal them up, and then store them so that Nasa can analyize them at a later date.

 

The design at the top is a prototype design of the M2020 rover that is said to be revoulutionary in the world of robotics and space exploration. But some say that the design is not as amazing as it seems, and reports show that the rover may not be equipped for the harsh terrain it will have to encounter.

 

Another important aspect of the Mars 2020 mission is the landing, and it seems it's going to be another intense and relentless adventure into space, but with an update that is soon to come there will be a much smaller target for the robot to aim for which will make the impact of landing a lot less detrimental. Though this is great for Nasa, I have got to say, I am still shocked this design seemed to work flawlessly, but who am I to question the genius robotics team at NASA.

 

All in all, this bot is a miraculous machine and has seemed to show everyone why Nasa is so highly regarded, but it is going to be interesting to see how the developers change this bot so it is completely ready and not just as prototype that is shiny and new.

ADAPTIVE ROBOT

An adaptive robot is one that can change to suite the situation it is put in. Whether it be a dangerous situation or one that simply needs a bit of added intelligence, an adaptive robot would be able to change to get through the situation as well as it can.

 

NON-ADAPTIVE ROBOT

This it the exact opposite of the last description. This bot will not be able to handle something it is not programed exactly to do. If this bot runs into a wall it will not turn, it will keep moving into the wall until its battery dies, in other words this is what you would call a stupid robot. 

 

DEGREES OF FREEDOM

This is a term used in many fields, but it relates to the coding aspect of robotics in a huge way. The Degrees of Freedom are a set amount of numbers and coordinates that are set to specify one direct and some times in direct route or path. This is how we code our robots, we have a certain amount of coordinates that will put a robot were we want it to go.
